MONOCHROMATIC

Brown is a color that I absolutely adore and that I definitely need more of in my closet! Blame the Taurus in me, but I just love earth tones! This look is casual and chic but definitely giving “boss” vibes. You can’t go wrong with a well-fitted blazer to dress up a look and make you feel put together. Perfect for women’s history month in my opinion! How has March been going for you? Still in quarantine? Or are you over it and ready for hot girl summer to be here already? Let me know down below. xoxo

VDAY LOOKBOOK

Hey friends! Hope you all enjoyed this past weekend of love; whether you spent it with family, friends, partner, or most importantly yourself! If this holiday is a reminder of anything, it’s to work on that self-love sis! I just wanted to do a quick check-in with a few of the looks that I put together for Valentine’s Day weekend; all looks were rented from my job! My absolute favorite is this red ruffle blazer dress from C/meo Collective. Which look is more your style? Also drop the deets on how your weekend of love went! *winky face* xoxo, J.

MOSSY

Y’all are probably sick of me always wearing green, but it’s so hard not to wear! I literally just gravitate to it! I promise that you all will see more looks of me styling other colors soon. This padded shoulder knit from Mango is so stunning, however, I probably should’ve gotten a medium. As you can see, the pads are not exactly on top of my shoulders, but it still looks fab! A little late to the “padded shoulder” trend but not mad at it; the structured shoulder definitely took this knit up a notch. To keep this look simple I styled it with these jeans from Paige Denim, and accessorized with these gorgeous zebra print boots from ASOS I snagged last year; paired with this moss green trench to add another layer of texture. The background set for this photo-shoot was created by using materials that I already had in my home, and overall it didn’t turn out too bad. How do you think the set came out? Or do you think I need to take my lazy butt back outside to take my photos? Let me know in the comments below! xoxo

BOUDOUIR BAE

Let me be honest, I’ve always been a true homebody, only interacting with the outside world if necessary. My current routine is work, grocery store/errands, and home. So I’ve decided that even though a natural-light outdoor shoot is ideal, why not utilize my tiny apartment to create outfit posts? This will definitely help me to be more consistent and creative from the comfort of my home, which is where majority of us are wearing our outfits anyway these days. I’ve worn this look twice already, so I had to bring it to styllabus! (I mean, if you are not getting multiple wears out of your clothes should it even be in your closet?)

You all know I love green, so here I am adorned in it again. The edit makes it hard to tell but this is a green thrifted top from a brand called Laura Scott. It’s beautifully made and the crinkle texture just shines in the light, so sublime. To keep that texture vibe going, I paired these old H&M plisse pants to add that touch of sophistication. These pants are so light and comfy, I have been on the hunt for more in various colors! Pulled the look together by accessorizing with my Sam Edelman boots and a green necklace and earrings. As you can see by the title, I was attempting a boudoir-esque shoot vibe, but obviously a little more covered up. How could I have styled this look to be more boudoir? Let me know your thoughts below!

CANDY STRIPER

Despite the headache of 2020, Christmas really did bring a bit of cheer if for only a day. So, here I am with my late Christmas post; atleast I’m being consistent! Not many good photos were taken (all blame falls on my bf but I’ll take partial responsibility lol), however, I adored my look! The vibe was a play on a modern day candy striper; the star of the show is none other than this gorgeousss candy red cardigan from & Other Stories, paired with these Boden checker pants. It was my first time purchasing from & Other Stories, but they did not disappoint! I have always been impressed with their knits that bloggers would feature in fashion hauls, and it’s definitely the place for cardigans with cute details like these gold hearts. Every time I buy a garment now it has to have an element of pizzazz, because it just gives that extra oomph, you know?

Was this look too much holiday cheer for you? If so let me know how you would’ve styled this cardigan below! *Sidenote: The highlight of my Christmas this year was finding this black Santa wrapping paper randomly at a Walmart, which I have never seen before, isn’t that crazy? I’m holding on to this wrapping paper till I find another or make my own. xoxo, J.
